Ramūnas Karbauskis, OwnerA brainchild of Ramūnas Karbauskis, Agrokoncernas Group transcended from a fertiliser trading organisation to a conglomerate comprising 54 companies engaged in the production, trade and processing of agricultural products for Northern Europe. His vision led the company to expand to 15 agricultural companies in crop and livestock farming and 15 agrochemical centres that supply produce to farms.
“For more than 30 years, we channelled all efforts to fuel farmers’ growth and meet every demand of the farming community using science-based guidance,” says owner Karbauskis.
This deep focus on science and innovation has resulted in cutting-edge solutions and technologies that integrate into farming activities. Agrokoncernas Group organises regular workshops and field demonstrations to showcase the practical benefits of crop production applications. Applications that focus on improving agriculture in Lithuania are drawn from years of research conducted in over 9,000 test plots across its scientific institutions—Future Farm and Agro Innovation and Research Centre ‘AgroITC’.
For example, the fungicides developed at its labs are designed with advanced formulations to provide robust protection against a wide range of fungal diseases. These products are highly effective in safeguarding crops and guarantee healthier plants and higher yields, reducing susceptibility to disease outbreaks and enhancing consistent production.
Agrokoncernas Group has also developed technologies for foliar nutrition in cereals, oilseeds and other crops, improving local yields by about 14 percent. The entire agricultural community benefitted from the repositioning of crop protection products in the market. Current projects are focused on renewing plant-growing technologies in response to climate change.
Farmers themselves, the team members leverage field-tested knowledge and share it with customers and partners, fostering a collaborative environment. Various educational initiatives and training programs are in place to help farmers maximise their yield. Scholarships are also offered to build a skilled workforce that can tackle future agricultural challenges.

Agrokoncernas Group is also constructing the continent’s largest and most modern dairy herd complex, capable of housing over 9,000 cows and producing 140 tonnes of milk daily. It will feature cutting-edge health monitoring technologies and a biomethane power plant, contributing to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and promoting a circular economy.
Eight solar power plants are already operational with plans to build three wind farms with a combined capacity of 800-1000 MW. These initiatives will significantly reduce the agricultural sector’s carbon footprint and provide sustainable energy solutions. The company is seeking strategic partners interested in investing in these innovative projects.
Integrating industry experience with scientific innovation makes Agrokoncernas Group a name that has earned the trust of clients and partners. Its commitment to sustainability and development has an enduring impact on the agricultural community and market.
